Mandurah Murray Vietnam Veterans Group Inc.

  President's Message:

Thank you for visiting the Web Site of the Mandurah Murray Vietnam Veterans Group Inc (MMVVG).  I trust that  you enjoy the site.  Should you be a veteran who lives in the South West of Western Australia and you are not a member of our Group then I invite you to join.

The objectives of the GROUP are:

B. To uphold the traditions and guard the good name of the GROUP.

C. To preserve the memory of those Australians who died on active service in South Vietnam and those Vietnam Veterans who have passed away since the Vietnam conflict.

D. To assist ex-service personnel when they are in need of help.

E. To assist the widows/widowers and children of deceased ex-members of the Group when they are in need of help.

Membership of the Group shall consist of:

Ordinary Members:  Any past or present member of the ADF or Allied armed forces and their partners if so desired, and ADF or Allied Armed forces Widows/widowers, may be ordinary members.

Social Members: Those who wish to participate in the GROUPís social activities and who do not come under the umbrella of Rules 4a to 4d inclusive.

For those that are Members of MMVVG, I ask you to use your site on a regular basis and to enjoy the social activities, functions etc. as this is what the Group is really about.  There are regular bike rides, kayaking outings, caravanning and other trips, wives and partners socials plus those activities that your Social Committee go to great lengths to provide for you.  Group members are also invited to attend the Mandurah Sub Branch R&SL Club, Third Avenue, Mandurah on each Thursday afternoon from 1600 hours for a few quiet drinks with fellow members. The Pinjarra R&SL has a Happy Hour from 5pm and a $10 evening meal on Friday nights which you are also welcome to attend.

MMVVG also has a Welfare Officer and Management Committee that is there for the Group.

It is the members that make a Group and you have volunteer members who are prepared to give much of their time to ensure that you are looked after. All I ask for as President, is that you join in our activities so that we can continue to run this highly successful and recognized Group.
